Does the portable version create a log file? I couldn't find it.
The nightly build is worse. Previously it opened and immediately crashed. Now I get the crash dialog before as soon as I double click the exe, I don't even get to see Explorer++ before it crashes.

Re: Crash at startI cannot locate a temp file using Explorer++ in either portable or registry mode.
Re: Crash at startOk, there's a bug in the current nightly build which could cause it to crash if not run on Win 7. The nightly build will be updated when I commit next, which should be within the next few days.
Don't worry too much about the dump file for now - check the next nightly build when it goes up, and if it still crashes, I'll go from there.
Re: Crash at startI've just tried the nightly build also and the same thing happens.

Re: Crash at startHi,
I have some information to share. I had VS2005 on my dev system and explorer++ was working file (no crashes V.1.1 anytime). For personal reasons, I unistalled VS2005 and switched to VS2008 SP1. Boom: E++ started to crash everytime I open it. I just posted this. It may be of some use to you. And Yes, I changed the option to "Load default tab on startup, and to My Computer". Things are working fine now.
Re: Crash at start@David Explorer++
I just tested the nightly build. It still crashes if set to Load Default Folder and the default is not Computer. I have added my "default" to the toolbar so as soon as I open Explorer++ I can click that. The downside is I cannot leave a bunch of tabs open but for my use, I can live with that.
Re: Crash at startOk, I've finally (!) been able to duplicate this bug. Tonight's (22/07/2010) nightly build will contain the proposed fix. Let me know if it still crashes.
Re: Crash at startJust ran a few tests on the nightly build and it now seems to be OK. Many thanks for fixing this.
