Just wondering what everyone else does.
At the present I put E++ in the Windows folder on both XP and 7.
Is this a good or bad thing?
Or should I create it's own folder (Explorer++), store and run it from there?
What are other users of ++ doing?
Also is there a way to save the environment (ALL settings) from ++ so I can just copy that settings file to other installs of ++? That way all of the PC's and OS's that I have ++ installed on will have the exact same settings.
Do I have to first run it in Portable mode to do that then copy the .INI file to other installs and then switch it back to normal mode?
Thanks.
Best practice ++ folder
Re: Best practice ++ folder
I use a separate folder for E++ and launch from there.
As for the settings, run E++ in portable mode and then just copy the config.xml file to the other machines.

I put it in a separate folder.
I also put that folder in the PATH environment variable, so running it is as easy as windows explorer.
