Network

I have come across a new problem after a fresh install of W10.

SMBv1 is no longer installed or maintained by MS. Read all about it https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/windo ... in-windows

What this means is that the Network Browser in Windows that could discover and see other PCs on the local LAN (Workgroup) no longer finds anything. In Windows Explorer (and Explorer++) the Network System folder is empty. Without SMBv1 the Network System folder is now only populated by a domain controller host file, or IP resources that have been directly added by the user. I know most of us here, running home workgroups or SOHO, are going to miss 30 years of WFW functionality.

I have no idea why MS just abandoned it, and did not recode using a more secure protocol like SMBv3.

However, other utilities can still find Windows Network resources, example https://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/, and right click to open the resource in Explorer. But it means jumping out of Explorer, running an external utility, and then the utility jumps back into Explorer.

Is there any way you can get Explorer++ to also find workgroup resources on the LAN? I think it will be a real win if Explorer++ can do this, because people are beginning to discover the problem and are looking for solutions.
