Windows 11 compatibility for 1.4 beta?
Windows 11 compatibility for 1.4 beta?
I'm thrilled to see that bookmark folders are working well in the beta 1.4 release (having solved the problem reported in "List of Bookmark-Folders is wrong" on this forum). However, when I try to run this 1.4 beta on my Windows 11 computer it hits a kernel error and does not come up (32 and 64 bit builds). Will Windows 11 be supported sometime soon?

It should work and does work for me. What's the error?

The application does not come up. When I try to run it, I get the usual Windows wait cursor for a second or two, but the Explorer++ window never displays and the process is not running when I look in Task Manager. Eventvwr shows the following (I am attaching the complete data for this eventvwr log entry):
Log Name: Application
Source: Application Error
Event ID: 1000

I have the same problem and tried all this and it didn't work
Re: Windows 11 compatibility for 1.4 beta?
Same problem with me. I'm not running beta , though.
The problem is the same application does not come up. When I try to run it, I get the usual Windows wait cursor for a second or two, but the Explorer++ window never displays.
Strange thing is that all was working fine until today. Had no problem until last time I logged off my computer, which was some time last week.
Running Windows 11 Pro, version 22H2

Re: Windows 11 compatibility for 1.4 beta?
This exact problem has plagued me for months, the way I was able to get it to work, was to run (from the command line)
"Explorer++.exe --clear-registry-settings"
The application popped right open directly after I hit enter.

Re: Windows 11 compatibility for 1.4 beta?
Seven months later, this sounds like the same problem I have running it on Windows 8. I was not able to get it to run by renaming the registry tree however. In my case, it may start to run after a few retries, and after I kill the dormant process in Task Manager
